Custom Poses

Okay, since I actually got some comments with people wanting these, I finally made it. :] (LOLOL, I stole your format Silline. ilu. <3 (I screenied practically everything I did, so I hope it helps. )


1.1 Using Bannedstory:

-Okayyy. Since I'm pretty sure most of you know what bannedstory is, I'll skip the details over it.
Open up Bannedstory. (Using Maplesim or offline version, doesn't matter~)


-After you've done this, create a color layer. (Any color is fine, just not white. Dw, you'll be getting rid of the color later on. I don't suggest hot pink though, it killed my eyes, LOL.)


-Next, make a character layer, and dress up your char, durr. I'll be using Grace's character, 'cause it's so adorable. C:


-Now that you have your character set up, what you want to do is look through the different poses(Sit;stand;walk;etc) they have, and find some arms you think you can use for the pose you want to make.


-Hmm, I'll be using these. (LOL, I'm making a simple suckish pose, sorry Grace. :<) -Noteee. I changed your char's hair 'cause it got in the way.-


-Since you only want to use the arms for the pose, you'll be 'exploding' them. This is done by click the little thunder icon. (By the color icon;camera thingy;and the trashcan.)


-You should see a bunch of body parts pop up in that box, and a clone of your char.


-Clicking on the layers you don't want, delete them. (Using the trashcan icon.) -Make sure you click on the right layers-

-Now you've chopped off arms. ;D

-Do this again until you get all the body parts you want, don't forget to save some clothes for your char!


-Then open up Paint. Yeah, paint. It's simple and easy to use, and does it's job.



-'Print' your bannedstory screen, by pressing the 'Prnt Scrn' button, on your keyboard. (I'm using a laptop, so I'm not sure where it is for you guys, it should be by the number pad, I think?)



-Paste this on paint.


-Next, using the box-tool-thing, select the area, like so, and cut it.

-Open a new paint, and paste it there. (You can exit out of your old one if you'd like.)


-Now, I'm just going to move the body parts around and edit them. (You may have to draw in extensions, or even chop off even more parts of it. It takes practice. Feel free to ask me questions if you need help. :])


-To stop the background from moving,
You have to pick a secondary colour, by using the 'pick color'-tool. (Right-click on the background color, pink in this case). Then, when you select the bodypart using the select-tool, you have to press the transparacy button, which you can find on the bottom of the tool-bar. Now you should be able to move the body parts, without any problems.

-To remove the background color, you can use the magic wand tool on paint.net(which is free) or Photoshop. :]

-And this is the final result!

-Post your poses here too, I can't wait to see them. ;DD

Custom Faces
Okay, you can use photoshop/paint/paint.net for this or any other art program. I personally use paint.net for this, 'cause it's easier.
Screenie your character, using the 'Prnt Scrn' button.
Paste it onto ___. (I'll be referencing to Paint from now on.)
Go back to bannedstory, and look at faces you might want to use. Remember, this can include eyebrows, which can change a LOT.
Screenie your character again, however with the new face(s) they have.
Paste this onto Paint.
Using the select tool, drag the part of the face you want to put on your character. I usually start with the mouths; then the eyes and brows.
And tada, you have it. :]


Custom Hairs
I'm not that great with these, haha, but to do this, all you have to do is go to bannedstory and choose a hair you like for your character.
Then 'explode it' via thunder icon.
Delete the parts you don't want.
And drag them onto your character.
I use Darling Diva and Curly stream for mine. :]
This one is for Kelli, 'cause I didn't make her a pose.
I forgot to screenie the steps, so.. Sorry for the uselessness of these screenies. >___>

Ahahah. I think I epic failed before I even started. o__o;

Using Banned Story 3 you can save your characters with transparencys.
Just go to file>save image
Under the file type check PNG image and check Transparency. This will give you a better result than using the blue screen idea because PNGs can support partial transparency and erasing only part of the background for some clothes and effects would be very difficult.

Edit: If i'd made my avatar << with it instead of jacking it from the rankings then my tail would actually have a purple glow instead of the ugly blob you see.
